Kasbahs and Dunes of Merzouga 4 days / 3 nights

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura Palm grove- Todgha Gorges
Departure in the morning from Ouarzazate with our 4WD Toyota and driver towards the Todgha gorges. We first explore the Skoura palmary and it’s magnificent Kasbah of Amehidil built since the 17th century. Next city is Kelaa Mgouna known for the festival of roses that takes place every year in the area. From here, we take the left side and cross the Berber villages of the rose valley then continue on track that leads from Boutaghrar to Ait Youl Kasbah. Lunch break in a typical Berber lodge that hikers use as stay during the trekking period to Mgoun mountain. In the afternoon, we continue with 4WD vehicle to get to the Dades valley and then arrive to the spectacular site of Togha gorges where we spend the night.

Day 2: Todgha gorges – Dunes of Merzouga
After breakfast in Todgha gorges hotel, a short trek along the valley is high appreciated before we leave to the Sahara desert dunes of Merzouga. We stop for lunch in Erfoud after we cross the oasis of Tafilalet. We arrive to the dunes at the sunset time and exchange the 4×4 with camel to ride over dunes and reach the bivouac where we spend the night under the tents.

Day 3: Merzouga Dunes – Tazarine – Zagora
Early morning to enjoy the sunrise on the dunes of Erg Chebbi, the best Sahara desert dunes of Morocco followed by breakfast in the camp, then you will ride back the camels to meet your driver and have shower before you leave to Zagora via Tazarine on track of Reg that goes through Tafetchna and Beni Zoli in the Draa valley. Dinner and overnight in Zagora.

Day 4: Zagora – Ouarzazate
Breakfast and departure to the south of Zagora where a small village called Tamgroute is located, most of men in this village are pottery handicrafts, you will visit the old Coranic library and return back to Zagora for lunch break in the restaurant. In the afternoon, you will travel to Ouarzazate where the tour have started, you will cross the Tamnougalt kasbah and Draa valley, Agdez and the mountains of the Anti Atlas.
