Day 1: Ouarzazate – Draa valley – Zagora – Mhamid Dunes
The departure to Zagora, the last big town before the desert of Moroccan south, we first cross the Anti Atlas Mountains with excellent views of canyons of Draa then we reach Agdez village, from here we start the track of Draa valley along the successive palm groves until we arrive to Zagora where we will have lunch. The trip continue further to the south where Tamgroute is located, an old village where men are all pottery handicrafts, more 5 Km we reach the first sand dunes of Tinfou. Afterwards we head to Tagounite and Mhamid, the last village before the desert, a camel ride at the sunset to get to the bivouac in the middle of dunes. Dinner and overnight in the camp.
Day 2: Mhamid – Agdez – Ouarzazate
Enjoy the sunrise in the early morning, then breakfast and camel ride back to the location of our 4WD and driver, return to Zagora and continuation to Ouarzazate via Agdez village. The end of 2 days desert trip to Mhamid dunes in the south of Zagora.
